C-Con 2024
Celebrate all things fandom at Carrollton Public Library’s annual C-Con! Carrollton-Convention, or C-Con, is a free event for fans of all ages across all fandoms to enjoy games, art, trivia (with prizes!), and more. Craft a custom coaster from comic book pages, compete like a Pokémon trainer in a Pokémon puzzle race, and learn K-pop dances with performers from Korean American Youth Artists of Texas (KAYAT).

Join the World Affairs Council, in partnership with the Korea Foundation, for a beautiful evening at the Dallas Arboretum where these traditional Korean music themes will be explored. The night will include a reception, live performance by Jeongin Lee of UT Austin, and conversation on the legacy of Korean music. Korean music theory and performance specialist Dr. Hilary Finchum-Sung will highlight the significance of musical tradition in Asian studies. We hope you will be a part of this immersive experience!

The Festival at the Switchyard honors the critical role the railroad played in putting Carrollton on the map and the continuing importance of rail in Carrollton's present and future. The event is held on the streets of Downtown Carrollton, situated off IH-35E at Belt Line Road, just steps away from the DART Green Line Downtown Carrollton station. It’s a festival of color, culture, and music! Kaleidoscope: A Celebration of Arts and Cultures is returning to Andrew Brown Park East on Saturday, October 16 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Kaleidoscope highlights the diversity and unique aspects of the Coppell community through a display of art, culture, music, and more. This year’s daytime event will feature a variety of activities, performances, and artisan vendors to appeal to everyone! For tastes around the world, a diverse array of lunch options will be available for purchase from food trucks.
